Via Atlantic Energy main activities are Upstream (Exploration, Development and Production of oil and gas) and to a lesser extent Midstream and Downstream.

Nezar Abou-Ismail - CEO

Nezar Abou-Ismail has with over 25 years of experience in the commercial and business areas. Mr. Abou-Ismail, is heavily involved in the Power, oil and gas, electricity, agricultural and mining areas of business and is very well connected to the decision makers in these sectors in Egypt as well as several other Arab and African countries, due to his past experience as a diplomat in the region. He has been effectively involved in the management and operation of businesses with sales in excess of US$ 100 million annually. Mr. Abou-Ismail was the Consul General for Kingdom of Morocco in Alexandria for over 13 years. Further, Mr. Abou-Ismail was further appointed as the Ambassador for the United Nations Disarmament Commission, acting as Commissioner for African countries. In addition, Mr. Abou-Ismail has further assumed the role of the Council for International Cooperation to the Chairman of the Arab Labor Organization. As well as being one of the Founders and Board Member of the High Commission for Trade between Morocco and Egypt. Mr. Abou-Ismail holds a BA in Anthropology from Alexandria University and a BA from the American University in Cairo, he also holds a Master Degree in Business Contracting Law from Central Michigan University, USA.

Dr. Ayman Fawzy - VP of Exploration & Production

• Well experienced Oil and Gas upstream professional, with a proven 28+ year's track record.
• Working experience with CGG Robertson, GeoResearch, Fugro-Jason, GeoResearch, Robertson Research, Eni/Agiba and PaleoServices.
• My key industry knowledge is revolving around Geosciences and stratigraphic Evaluation through integrated studies (Seismic to Simulation StS), technical analysis and, new acreage evaluation.
• Demonstrated a proven technical capabilities and diverse managerial experience, coupled with a sophisticated educational background and profound understanding of International Oil & Gas business practices for more than 350 projects for multi-well studies, integrated reservoir studies and fields development planning within more than 45 countries in Middle East/ North Africa, West Africa, East Arica, North Western Europe, Far East, North and South America region.

Mr. Hossam has a B.Sc. in Technology & Maritime Transport Department: Maritime Transport – Nautical Technology.

Mr. Hossam is a Chairman and Managing Director for Gharib Oil Group [Gharib Oil Fields , Gharib Oil Services and Gharib Integrated Oil Services].

Mr. Hossam is aGeneral Manager for Burg EL Arab Petroleum Company (BURAPETCO). BURAPETCO is the operating company for Burg El Arab concession Agreement.

Mr. Hamy Amer – CFO

Mr. Hamy has a Master degree in cost benefit analysis and project appraisal – Mediterranean Agronomic institute of Chania – Crete University - Greece
Mr. Hamy has a Diploma in Economics and Finance - Mediterranean Agronomic institute of Chania – Crete University - Greece
Mr. Hamy has a Bachelor of commerce – Ain Shams University (Egypt)

Mr. Hamy was the Head of Finance of BP Egypt from 2009 to June 2014. He was monitoring the spent of annual $2billion capital expenditures and operating expenses. He ensured financial excellence for BP operation in Egypt. He supported BP through the maximization of its portfolio by acquiring four concessions agreements through either direct negotiation or Government Bid rounds.

As an expert in Oil and Gas Joint Venture in Egypt and Middle East, He was appointed jointly by the Egyptian Government and BP to establish a new Gas Joint Venture. Hamy Lead a multi-disciplinary team from HR, operations and projects functions to design and seek shareholders approval on the new joint venture policies such as Bylaws, recruitment policy, reward and benefits, delegation of authorities, operations standards, HSSE policies and performance management. He acted as a gate keeper for the implementation of SAP Financial Modules into BP’s joint venture under Production Sharing Agreement. Ensure full compliance with BP GRM and IFRS reporting standards.
